Digital Editing

As a digital editor for Vox Magazine, I planned the online presentation of print stories, created content for our website and helped produce a weekly newsletter. I also studied Google, Facebook and Twitter analytics and shared critiques with the staff to improve our publication.

Web presentation

I planned the online presentation of print stories and won an award for the best online presentation and most creative in online production for a feature from the Vox Magazine staff. The feature includes interactive maps and timelines, 360 photos, galleries, before and after slider photos and video.

For each print story I produced for web, I changed headlines and deks to be SEO-friendly, added and linked content in Blox and customized coding to change the presentation of posts when needed. I also coordinated multimedia efforts with editors.

Online content

I pitched and produced weekly blog posts for the music department that included lists, Q&As, album reviews, Thinglinks, Storify and playlists. I also worked with editors to develop ideas for digital components to go with print pieces.

A quiz that I created in anticipation of a John Mellencamp concert received over 25,000 pageviews, making it the most viewed post on the magazine's website.
